We’re excited to have you on board! This guide will walk you through what happens after you’ve placed your order and what to expect next.
After you place an order
When your order has been confirmed, you’ll receive a “Welcome to WP Hosting” email, containing information about your newly created account (if this is your first order) and how to access the WP Hosting Client Area.
Payment Processing
If you paid by Credit Card:
- Your payment is processed instantly, and your hosting account will be provisioned immediately
If you chose BPAY as the billing method:
- You will need to make a BPAY payment manually
- BPAY payments typically take 1-3 business days to process
- When funds have cleared, your hosting account will be provisioned
Hosting Provisioning
WordPress, WooCommerce & Enterprise hosting:
- Your hosting service will be provisioned immediately after payment is received and ready to go within minutes
Dedicated Servers:
- Provisioning will take a little longer and we’ll reach out when it’s ready to go
Hosting account welcome email
When your hosting service is ready, you’ll receive a “Hosting Account Welcome Email” from us. This email contains essential information you need to get started, including;
- WordPress login details (if applicable)
- How to set your WordPress password
- Information about using a temporary/staging URL
- DNS / Nameserver details
Next Steps
Set up your domain
- If your domain is with an external provider, make sure to update your DNS settings to point to our servers (DNS details are included in your welcome email)
Log in to your WP Hosting Client Area
- Log into your new WP Hosting Client Area and take a look around
- You’ll need to setup your account security (2FA/MFA)
- Take a look at our guide for an overview of the Client Area‘s features
Start building/migrating your website
- If you’re building a new site, have fun!
- If you’re migrating an existing site, contact support to discuss our free inbound migration option.
