If you need to transfer ownership of your WP Hosting account, whether due to the sale of your business or any other reason, there are several options available for completing the handover to a new owner.
Update account details
The simplest approach is to log in to your WP Hosting Client Area and update the account details with the new owner’s information.
Be sure to update the personal information in the Account Details section and the Owner Profile details, along with any additional account contacts.

Invite new user
Another way to hand over an account is by adding the new owner as an additional authorised user on the account. You can then lodge a support ticket to request that this user be nominated as the new account owner. You’ll just need to confirm the email address of the authorised user along with the account’s Support Code.
This option is useful when both parties still need shared access during a handover period, for example.
Please note that nominating a new account user as an owner does not remove the previous owner as a user. The new owner will have discretion over the remaining authorised users and can add/remove them as needed.

Move services between existing accounts
If you only need to move certain products, a single web hosting plan, for example, you can transfer individual products from your account to theirs.
Please note that the intended recipient will need to have their own WP Hosting account to accept transfers (if they don’t, please lodge a support ticket with the details of the new owner so that we can create an account for them)
- This process does not transfer unpaid or overdue invoices to the receiving account.
- When moving domains, this process does not change the domain registration details.
