Gutenberg takes centre stage; it’s now the default editor

The release includes the Twenty Nineteen editor, which takes advantage of the new block-based editing capability offered by Gutenberg.

WordPress is inviting developers to install the beta in a testing environment and submit bugs in their support forums, and warns against running in on live / Production sites.

Non-developers can lend a hand too by helping translate it into more than 100 languages.

Please note: the target release date of WordPress 5.0 is 19 November 2018.
