1. Introduction
This gTLD Domain Registration Policy outlines the rules, terms, and conditions for registering and managing gTLD domains under WP Hosting Pty Ltd. By registering a gTLD domain with us, you agree to comply with this policy and any applicable regulations enforced by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).
1. Eligibility for Registration
1.1 Any individual, organization, or entity is eligible to register a gTLD domain, provided they comply with the registration requirements.
1.2 Registrants must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date contact information during the registration process. Failure to do so may result in suspension or cancellation of the domain.
2. Acceptable Use
2.1 Domains must not be used for illegal activities, including but not limited to:
•Fraudulent schemes, phishing, or spam.
•Distribution of malware or harmful software.
•Activities violating intellectual property laws, including copyright and trademark infringement.
2.2 Content hosted on domains must comply with the laws of the governing jurisdiction and ICANN policies.
2.3 WP Hosting Pty Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate any domain violating this policy.
3. Registration Terms
3.1 gTLD domains can be registered for a period of 1 to 10 years, as per the registrant’s request.
3.2 Renewal notices will be sent to the registrant’s provided email address 30, 15, and 7 days before expiration.
3.3 Failure to renew a domain will result in it entering a grace period, during which the domain may still be renewed. After this, the domain may be released back into the public pool.
4. Privacy and WHOIS Information
4.1 Registrants may choose to enable domain privacy protection to mask personal details in the public WHOIS database.
4.2 WP Hosting Pty Ltd complies with data protection regulations such as GDPR to safeguard registrants’ personal information.
5. Dispute Resolution
5.1 Disputes arising from domain registrations will be handled in accordance with ICANN’s Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP).
5.2 WP Hosting Pty Ltd will cooperate with the relevant authorities and provide support during the resolution process.
6. Prohibited Domains
6.1 Domains containing offensive, obscene, or misleading terms may be disallowed.
6.2 WP Hosting Pty Ltd reserves the right to reject any domain name registration that violates applicable laws or our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Fees and Payments
7.1 All domain registration fees must be paid upfront at the time of registration.
7.2 Registrants will be notified of any price changes 60 days in advance.
7.3 Refunds will only be issued as per WP Hosting Pty Ltd’s Billing & Refund Policy.
8. Termination and Suspension
8.1 WP Hosting Pty Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate a domain for non-compliance with this policy or ICANN regulations.
8.2 Domains found to be associated with abuse, fraud, or unlawful activity will be suspended immediately without prior notice.
9. ICANN Compliance
9.1 All gTLD domain registrations are governed by ICANN’s policies and procedures, including the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA).
9.2 Registrants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with ICANN’s Registrant Benefits and Responsibilities, available at ICANN’s website.
10. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in regulations or business practices. Registrants will be notified of significant updates via email or announcements in the client area.
