Take Gutenberg for a spin on the front-end this time.
The upcoming Gutenberg installation has been quite a buzz in the WordPress community. This new WordPress visual editor is aiming to minimize (or perhaps get rid of) shortcodes and HTML. Instead of codes, developers are keen to utilize ‘blocks’ to allow WordPress users – beginners and experts – enjoy simple and rich customization.
As we all know, Gutenberg is still a work-in-progress but users can already do a test run of the application by downloading it as a plugin – and now as a “theme”.
Introducing Frontenberg, a frontend instance created by Tom J Nowell that allows you to play around with Gutenberg editor for WordPress.
Frontenberg is a theme that lets you put the new Gutenberg editor for WordPress on the frontend.
How to get Frontenberg
To be clear, Frontenberg is not a WordPress theme per se. Just visit frontenberg.tomjn.com and start experiencing Gutenberg firsthand. No username and password necessary but, if it interests you, take time to read the documentation.
Have fun! Let us know in the comment section how this frontend Instance of Gutenberg works for you.
