Elementor is looking for beta testers for version 2.0 of their page builder and has just announced the Elementor Developer API.
Elementor has released “gradually” its 2.0 version starting March and is actively seeking beta testers.
The new version goes “beyond the page level” and will allow you to visually and easily design blocks, headers, footers, dynamic content, single posts, archive pages, search results pages, 404 pages, and more.
New resource center for Elementor developers
Replacing Elementor’s GitHub docs and tutorials, the resource center has two sections:
Code reference – houses the Elementor phpDocs which will be auto-updated after every new version. It “explains what each function, class, method and hook does.”
Developers resource centre – packs all the guides and tutorials in creating extensions. It’s a “set of tutorials explaining how you can use all the hooks and classes to create your Elementor extensions.”
The goal is to facilitate the development and integration of Elementor plugins and themes, and contribute to the growing list of available extensions.
Further details of the developer’s site are available in the Blog post.
